Description of Project:
Universal Coatings installed a high-performance foam roofing system combined with spray foam insulation to meet the specialized requirements of a cold storage facility. The foam roofing system provides superior weather protection, sealing the structure against leaks and reducing long-term maintenance costs. Inside, spray foam insulation was applied to ensure consistent temperature control, improve energy efficiency, and safeguard valuable stored products.
The system achieved an R-value of 40 on the cold storage freezer, applied to the building’s exterior. This not only delivers the insulation required to maintain a controlled environment but also creates a waterproof barrier that protects the interior from adverse weather conditions. The roof was finished with a monolithic vapor barrier and a UV-resistant elastomeric coating, ensuring long-term durability and performance.
This project was completed for a long-standing client with whom Universal Coatings maintains an ongoing partnership.
